FAR Total - 1 hour
I took the Business Environmental concepts of the CPA yesterday and I don't know how I feel about it. I think I got all the budget variance questions wrong. They only asked about overhead variance which really sucks.
Anyway, I was planning to start immediately on the FAR portion when I started getting overly obsessed about my scores.
Here are two things I did not know about the BEC test:
There are 12 pretest questions - this means 12 questions are for experimentation
Different questions are worth different points
1 written communication is a pretest
What will I do? I don't think I got a 75. But I guess it is okay, the most important thing is to keep moving forward. Just a little bit hard when you are obsessed. But damn it, why is California not registered with the stupid NASBA, now I have to wait an extra 2 days for score releases.
Lastly as I am studying for FAR, I realize there is a lot of material overlap with all sections of the CPA, so studying for FAR would supplement BEC. It is insignificant, but it is nice to know that it feels like you are studying both, or there is this connection you can make.
Btw, I am using the Home Study Yaeger 2011
